A 36-year-old mentally unstable man from Singapore has been sentenced to 14 years in prison and 18 strokes of the cane after being convicted of molesting 23 women over the course of 15 months.
His offences included smelling women's armpits and touching them in lifts, staircase landings and their homes. He was apprehended after a housewife reported him to the authorities.
The use of the cane is an additional punishment for males in Singapore for offences ranging from rape to illegal possession of drugs and vandalism.
14 years do seem a little harsh but at least he'll have a lot of stuff to be sniffin' in jail.
